It’s funny, sometimes when I sit to write a blog post I feel more pressure than shooting the actual wedding itself. How can I sum up in words this amazing couple? This couple that invited us into their lives, let us be a part of their day, let us have all the creative freedom we wanted and trusting us the whole time with no questions asked. How do I describe the look that these two shared when the doors opened and Andrew saw his beautiful bride for the first time? How can I even put into words the real true emotion that Kristen’s mother showed when her little girl walked out in her dress for the first time? Or the way Uncle Val’s unfiltered speech moved everyone so much, or about how the family, so entrenched with tradition, broke out into a Polish song in their native language with the accompaniment of the accordion?
Yes, sometimes I put a lot of pressure on myself because I feel this story needs to be told. Then I realize that the story has no business being told by me in writing. I know that with a couple as kind and friendly and inviting as Andrew and Kristen, I could never do justice with words. Kristen and Andrew, Amalie and I feel truly grateful to have crossed your paths, it is an amazing path. I won’t try to sum any more of this incredible day up, no summary would do. I hope you all enjoy looking at these pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.
Here’s to Kristen and Andrew, may the road you take always be the one with most laughter and joy. (An accordion accompaniment wouldn’t hurt either.)
