Kori and Josh met through mutual friends a few years back, they quickly became friends and found they shared so much in common. Fast forward four years later to this magical day that they were joined by their sweet daughter and tons of amazing friends and family to see these two get married. Kori and Josh were married at Birdsong Barn, a gorgeous rustic barn that has oh so much character.  Kori had made tons of stuff and had so many fabulous DIY details, I was in heaven! Her dress was handmade just for her, her and her bridesmaids flowers as well as the boutonnieres were beautiful dried flowers from Etsy. She put so much time into the details and it definitely showed.

 Kori and Josh were such a sweet, kind and welcoming couple Jeff and I felt like we had been friends for years with them, not to mention Kori’s family is from Buffalo ( where Jeff is from ) so they immediately hit it off.

Cypress Grove Estate House Styled Wedding | Amalie Orrange Photography

Sarah from Weddings by 2+Hue and I have been planning this shoot since December, we ended up pushing it back once before. But the day before our shoot there were tornado warnings and torrential rain, my daughter got strep throat, I had strep throat but,  Sarah and I were determined to pull off our shoot. We had spend months shooting ideas back and forth over many phone conversations and we were so excited for this day!   We decided the rain wouldn’t stop us, we pulled the entire shoot inside the estate house and honestly I don’t think it could have turned out better.  The light was pouring in the room through the windows of the tea room and you couldn’t even tell that it was raining outside. Luckily the rained stopped for about 20 minutes and we ran our gorgeous model Jennifer outside to get a few shots of her on the grounds of the  Cypress Grove Estate House.

 I am in love with everything about this shoot, from the gorgeous gold and mint details, the delicate tea set, the invitations, the flowers, the cakes, oh my the cakes were amazing!!  Butter cream filled the air as Sarah and I set up all of the details of the Peach Bellini bar, the Peach Preserve guest treats and the insanely gorgeous main table.  We had the A team, a rock star list of Orlando’s top weddings professionals which all came together to showcase their outstanding talents and put together a gorgeous shoot that I am so smitten with.  And, we are honored to tell you that this gorgeous collaboration is also featured on Ruffled Wedding Website.  Feast your eyes and what would be my dream wedding…

Laurin & Katie’s Cypress Grove Estate House Wedding | Amalie Orrange Photography

 As we arrived  to The Cypress Grove Estate House, Laurin & Katie’s  family and friends were setting up the final details, laughing and lighthearted as they did it.  Laurin, a DJ was taking the sound into his own hands, serious yet lighthearted.  Katie, up stairs hanging out with her friends, was calm and relaxed, taking in the memories that the day would provide.  You could tell even before the festivities started that these two would make this a great day.

Then there are the twists and turns and unexpected things that are bound to happen with any wedding day.  And seeing how couples react to this really tells me a lot about the character and love between couples.  Laurin and Katie met anything that happened with amazing resiliency and determination not to let it affect their big day.  I have endless admiration for these two, they met us with kind, warm and welcoming hearts, invited us in and let us be creative.  I think these pictures are only the tip of the insight of the love that these two share and we are eternally grateful that these two let us be a part of their big day.

Steve & Jennifer’s Dockside Engagement | Winter Park

What do you get when you mix a dog, a chilly day, a dock and two people totally in love?  Awesome pictures that portray an awesome couple.  It was windy and it was cold but you could never tell by the non-stop smiles from Jennifer or the kindness. I knew I loved Jennifer the second I met her at Starbucks, she was so sweet and was so excited to tell me about her upcoming wedding at Casa Feliz.  And, if Jennifer looks familiar she was actually my model for the recent shoot I did at Cypress Grove.  These two toughed it out for  the session and we are pleased as punch they did.  A super cute couple with their sweet pup Chloe made for some gorgeous shots, we are smiling ear to ear over here.   We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
