The Orrange’s in the big apple | Through a child’s eyes | Amalie Orrange Photography

We decided to take our first family trip this summer to go visit Jeff’s family up in Buffalo NY and a quick trip to NYC to visit one of my good friends and to do a little sightseeing. This was Maddox’s first time on an airplane and he was so excited, I absolutely love to see the excitement of both of the kids experiencing the first of many things on this trip. Seeing things through their eyes is so amazing,  the excitement of flying, riding in a taxi, going on the subway, seeing all of the gigantic buildings and  being in the middle of a bustling city.  Our trip was from Orlando to NYC where we stayed for 3 days and had many adventures. This was both the kids and Jeff’s first time to the city so we did all of the “touristy” things, the Statue of Liberty, Empire State building, and the museum of natural history. This is a photo journal of our first day in the city.

Packed up and ready to go!

I love these pictures of Maddox, he was filled with excitement and curiosity. I am pretty sure I was asked about a million and one questions within the first 10 minutes.
It was POURING our first day there, we got the kids some galoshes and traveled down to Times Square.
